When it came to random 512K performance the Samsung SSD 850 Evo was only a fraction faster than the previous 840 Evo model. The sequential write performance was also very strong and again the Samsung SSD 850 Evo matched the SanDisk Extreme Pro. Achieving a throughput of 521MB/s meant that the 850 Evo was able to deliver similar performance to the SanDisk Extreme Pro. When it comes to sequential read performance the Samsung SSD 850 Evo was as good as any SATA SSD that we have tested.
